Advanced Semiconductor Laboratory

Xiaohang Li's research interests focus on the growth, fabrication, physics, and equipment of wide-bandgap structures and devices. He uses state-of-the-art characterization tools and facilities for wide bandgap semiconductor research, including supercomputers and machine learning (AI), to create cutting-edge technologies and conduct fundamental semiconductor studies.

By using high temperature MOCVD and other state-of-the-art facilities, we aim to perfect and innovate important devices such as LED, laser, transistors, photodetectors, and sensors etc. These devices are expected to become the enabling technologies to revolutionize energy, communication, biochemical, biomedical, and data storage industries and many others.

We are constantly seeking hard-working and curious students to join our exciting and cutting-edge research team for PhD degree. We are also looking for outstanding and experienced postdoctoral fellows. Research internship positions are available for exceptional undergraduate students all year around.
