USTC is regarded as Caltech of China and highly-ranked in the world. Congratulations to Haiding!

Great news! Prof Li is recognized by the prestigious Harold M. Manasevit Young Investigator Award for his "significant and ​innovative contributions in the MOVPE growth of state-of-the-art deep UV lasers, B​-III-N alloys, III-oxides, and blue and green emitters."

We are a group of motivated and curious people working on cutting-edge interdisciplinary research. Specifically, we focus on growth, fabrication, physics, and equipment of wide-bandgapstructures and devices. We also devote to semiconductor research assisted by machine learning and AI. By using high temperature MOCVD and other state-of-the-art facilities, we aim to perfect and innovate important devices such as LED, laser, transistors, photodetectors, and sensors etc. These devices are expected to become the enabling technologies to revolutionize energy, communication, biochemical, biomedical, and data storage industries and many others.​


A number of full-time positions are currently available to curious and hard-workingPhD students, as well as experienced postdoctoral fellows. Several 5-12monthall-paid internship positions are also available for outstanding perspectivestudents.
